As part of a one-week workshop, I created a 15 to 25-second animation combining the performance of a musical group with a 'musical machine' symbolizing their sound. The challenge was to synchronize this creation with an audio excerpt. I chose the song Sing, Sing, Sing by Benny Goodman, recorded in 1937.

Inspired by the vibrant energy of the swing era and the atmosphere of Manhattan, my sequence features a musical building-machine, blending New York architecture with musical instrument elements. The aesthetic choices—black, white, gold, Art Deco patterns, and period clothing—faithfully recreate the style and ambiance of that time.

This was an individual project, designed in 2D motion design.
